Overview

Prospective Observational Study to Understand Liver Diseases (POSULD) is a longitudinal cohort study to learn more about liver diseases and health equity.

It was established at Zuckerberg San Francisco General (ZSFG) & the Chan Zuckerberg Biohub in 2018.Recognizing the need for a diverse cohort to study health disparities in autoimmune hepatitis in more depth, we started the prospective cohort study to longitudinally collect clinical data and blood biospecimens. The POSULD cohort includes patients with liver diseases and controls at ZSFG and UCSF Health. They will be followed and studied over time to learn more about their natural history, treatment response, and long-term outcomes.
